La struttura del libro si articola pertanto in due parti dove nella prima parte sono descritti i vari gruppi di colle utilizzate dagli applicatori. Nella seconda parte vengono descritte le tecnologie di produzione di specifici manufatti portando dati riguardanti i cicli applicativi, le problematiche relative, ai collanti adatti per effettuare l'applicazione e qualche esempio di macchina utilizzata. Si sono inoltre ampliati concetti riguardanti Ia caratterizzazione delle colle sulla base di esperienze recentemente maturate. Ho cercato di riassumere con queste libro anni di esperienza e di studio dedicati ai collanti per legno. Accanto a delle definizioni di ordine generale sui collanti di varie specie, ho riportato notizie quanto più complete possibili sulle tecniche di incollaggio in uso. La continua evoluzione delle macchine per legno richiederà certo l'inserimento di nuovi collanti e nuove tecnologie di incollaggio, ma i principi generali esposti rimarranno validi per tutta la materia di studio. Mi auguro che il libro possa aiutare non soli giovani futuri addetti ma anche tutti coloro che in qualche modo hanno a che fare con il bagno e il suo incollaggio.
