In 1961, marine history was made when Dick Bertram introduced the Bertram 31. This all-fiberglass sportfisherman was based on a novel deep-vee hull design designed by C. Raymond Hunt and successfully raced by Dick Bertram in the early offshore powerboat races. Reaction to the boat was powerful, and the Bertram Yacht Company was founded. Since then, Bertram’s sportfisherman have achieved worldwide recognition. Their story is told through hundreds of colorful photographs and insightful interviews with the people who stuck with Bertram through good times and bad.
