An informative guide for those keen to learn more about whales, dolphins, and other marine mammals. It is divided into two sections. The first focuses on the practical aspects of whale and dolphin watching in Southern Africa: when to see them and where; routes to the prime whale-viewing sites; and how to differentiate species based on tail flukes, fins, head sprays and other disctinguishing features of the different animals. The second section takes the form of a guide to the 46 different species of marine mammal found in Southern Africa - the whales, dolphins and seals.
