Carlo Borlenghi is one of the stars in his field; he is considered one of the best international photographers in yachting - water is not his element. Carlo Borlenghi comments that he can’t swim: "It keeps you alert and you never lose respect for the sea”. He has photographed everything that is available in the sailing sport for large and small events, as well as aesthetically. Born in Bellano, Italy, he grew up on Lake Como, studied hydraulics and - to finance his studies -began as a hobby photographer selling his pictures to yacht owners: the beginning of a steep career. He developed into a master of his craft. He has been awarded several prizes and has worked for the best magazines in the world for many years. Since 1983 he has been recording the spectacular moments of the America’s Cup, first for various Italian syndicates, later as an official photographer. And as such it is now found on most other major regatta courses in the world - Carlo Borlenghi è uno dei più grandi fotografi di yacht a livello internazionale - l'acqua non è il suo elemento. Nato a Bellano, in Italia, è cresciuto sul lago di Como, ha studiato idraulica e ha iniziato - per finanziare i suoi studi -come fotografo amatoriale a vendere le sue immagini ai proprietari di yacht: l'inizio di una carriera ripida. Divenne un maestro nel suo campo. Pluripremiato, lavora da molti anni per le migliori riviste del mondo. Dal 1983 ha registrato i momenti più spettacolari dell'America’s Cup, prima per diversi sindacati italiani e poi come fotografo ufficiale.
