All the joys and melancholies of the seafaring life are brought together in this collection of traditional sea music. This selection presents two kinds of sea songs - composed songs or poems about the sea and the seafaring life; and the working songs, or sea shanties, coming from the anonymous talents of the seamen themselves. Songs featured include “Shenandoah,” “Rolling Home,” “Whisky Johnny,” “Dixie,” “Pay Me the Money Down,” and “Goodbye, Fare You Well.”
